Does it freeze at some random time, or almost straight away, or at the time it switches to the next show?

It doesnt sound like there is much info to go on. Post another set of logs with the time you saw it happen, and I'll take a look.

Hmm, there is no sign of anything happening in the logs at that time.

You might need to do it again, and once it happens, confirm if the live tv file is still there and growing.

Sub I suspected that would be the case bacause the recording service was still running but I didn't look to see if the file was continuing to grow.

I will run test again and check the temp file.

In addition to the temp file I'd like to find out why this is "crashing" but I'd like you to help with the debugging. Here are the steps I would like to see happen

- install putty as your telnet client, and configure it to save your session to a file (putty.log)

- start GBPVR and login with telnet using putty.

- Power off (via remote) GBPVR to get back to the NMT menu.

- In telnet enter the following command

killall gaya
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2

- from your tv duplicate the livetv problem.

- compress and upload your gbpvr logs and putty.log

Note that when you say it crashes do you wait thirty seconds? That is the http timeout and it can seem like quite a long time.

I had a look at the logs and didn't see the playfile error but I did see a common error which is caused by the the heartbeat getting received during a screen refresh.

Code:

OK...just had another crash and the temp file still grows as suspected.

Martin...I will follow your instructions and upload logs. Thanks
