So sorry. I was without power due to a winter storm before I got a chance to test. I have some catchup to do now that I have power back but I will load up the new software/firmware in the next day or two. Given that it is happening to Gedanken as well and also on CBS, I have to agree with sub and think it's pretty interesting and more than a coincidence.

Ok, I've got recording scheduled on NBC and CBS all night from the same stream. I've made sure it will use my HDHR to record them. Hopefully, I can replicate the problem and figure it out.

So far so good on the recordings but I did notice that the recordings show 0KB in Explorer until the recording is finished or I start to play the recording. Then the proper filesize show up.

Gedanken, do you have a software firewall running? If so, make sure that you have added PvrX2.exe and GBPVRRecordingService.exe to the exceptions list.

I was reading this post and I saw the GBPVRTSmon.ax file posted for testing so I figured I'll see what shows up for me. I tried one station that worked and then followed up with CBS HD. Both records are attached as well as the recording service logs.

At first blush I can see one obvious difference. While the successful recording record was able to receive a complete PMT packet, the recording record of CBS HD was not.

Code:
16:39:27.763    Received first 188 bytes of PMT packet. Complete size is 4098
16:39:28.063    Received first 188 bytes of PMT packet. Complete size is 4098
16:39:28.403    Received first 188 bytes of PMT packet. Complete size is 4098
16:39:28.724    Received first 188 bytes of PMT packet. Complete size is 4098

I hope this helps.

I've been working on a couple of patches, which I'm intending to post in that other thread later today (or tomorrow), which I'm hoping will also correct the problem you're seeing.

I am going to jump in on this thread.....I just went to start watching our Monday PM recordings and 8 out of the 9 (Chuck was a-ok) recordings for that night are all 0 byte recordings.

Verified the HDHR Dynamic Tuner Allocation is not set

Logs attached...

Edit: sub.....I just loaded up the GBPVRTSMon.ax and set the registry.....when it happens again I'll have some logs for you....

Yes, though I may need to add more logging to the new stuff before it becomes useful...
