Hairy Wrote:You could try resizing the background.jpg and the background mask.png to 720x480 (in the ...Community-SD\Menu folder) and see if that makes any difference ???
I tried that but no difference... Given that nobody else has reported this problem, I wouldn't worry too much about it at the moment. It's probably just my natural ability to break stuff without really trying...Big Grin

However, I ran a test comparing CS-SD with Blue and checked the logs (isn't Notepad++ wonderfull) and I did see this warning message in the CS-SD log
Code:
WARNING [6] Caught unexpected error in: prepareMVPFrame()
Anyway, I'll make a post in Support and see if sub can suggest anything.

Hairy Wrote:Could you try the attached OSD skin to see if that tidies it up a bit.

Thanks for the screen shot, unfortunately I don't have a TV card in the development machine so a lot of the OSD stuff is done blind, so to speak.

Cheers

McBainUK Wrote:Guys, can you try the attached exe and see if that fixes things. Just extract it to C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\SkinPlugin4\

that fixed things so I can now swap menu left 2 right and back ok - cheers.

FYI: It is still as slow as heck when moving between centre, left and right in the layout menu, about 8 secs to move from centre to left after pressing down arrow.

The text of the Music library and video library main menu text items do not fit into the green highlight properly.

Also, is it me or is the text of the main menu items a little "odd" - it's been like this since pvrx2 was launched. It kind of looks like a hand rolled font compared to what you see in the other screens. Odd proportions and lack of antii-aliasing on the edges.

btw: Please tell me when to stop knit-picking.

Fatman_do Wrote:I have a "slick" version of the Videos Library plugin, but not stored into anything the skin plugin can use. It is located in the SD versions' Videos Library folder, you have to rename the xml file to skin.xml.

Thanks, shouldn't that be the default one?

Depends really. I was planning on making the same versions as Hairy had for the default one, giving more choices, but haven't implemented it yet. Plus, the "Slick" version may not be everyone's cup of tea. Once I have all the variations, I guess we will see how to implement it with the SkinPlugin to maybe piggyback the same choices.

I just installed CS4-HD and I am quite disappointed as it removed all the CRLF pairs in my config.xml and on top of that the file is corrupt.

To remove these through the plugin, you would have to select the transparent text background graphics. This would however be a global effect and remove all the text backgrounds.

If you want to be a little more surgical and don't mind editing the baseskin.xml you can comment out or delete the references below:

Code:
        <CompositeImage name="ListScrollUp" size="4,4">
                    [color=Red]<DrawCommonImage name="TextBackground"/>[/color]
            <DrawCommonImage name="ButtonUp"/>
        </CompositeImage>

        <CompositeImage name="ListScrollDown" size="4,4">
                    [color=red]<DrawCommonImage name="TextBackground"/>[/color]
            <DrawCommonImage name="ButtonDown"/>
        </CompositeImage>

Hopefully I've finally got it, and we can put an end to this online chuckle brothers - to me, to you craziness Big Grin

I'll update the various OSD options and add them to the SVN.

Cheers

From the screen shot it looks like you are running the CS-HD version on a 4:3 display. That layout isn't a great fit, check out this post from earlier in the thread.

The two versions appear to be creating a little confusion, so we'll try to make it much more clear on the wiki, when we get to release state.
