Also search for multiple copies of config.xml (I used to get an odd one showing up in the windows path somehow).

Thanks guys, this thing has got me beat for now. Based upon the fact that so many others have had little or no problems with their installations, I'm convinced that the problem I'm having is rooted in something that I did.

I'll keep trying as time permits, and I'll report back for the benefit of others.

Thanks again.

I was clutching at straws, and I changed the NMT skin to "Blue", and GBPVR is working on my NMT!

The last time I ran NMTInstall.exe, I unchecked as little as possible ( I learned my lesson), so the Mayhem skin was included and selected for the NMT by default. For whatever reason, my system doesn't like it. That's too bad, because the little bit of it that I saw looked great.

Thanks again to all for the help and suggestions, and especially to Martin for his patience and persistance.

Martin
I had this problem not only with Mayhem but with Slick as well. This 'fix' worked fine for me with Mayhem.

pcostanza, can you confirm exactly the problem that you were having? In my case, the main menu image appeared to be too large for the screen. Before I risk screwing something up (again), I want to be sure that I'm attacking the right problem.

I don't use the PCH as much as many and will gladly admit I'm still baffled by much of it and read their forums often (with funny looks on my face). I'm an MS boy and not a Linux guy. I'm still using a non HDTV (36" tv) and most of GBPVR plays fine....live tv, recordings, music and video but the menu is all fracked up. It's oversize. I can switch to blue and it works fine but not Mayhem and Slick. The weird thing is that using Slick, it starts off over size but after I watch a recorded show and go back to the menu, it's fine. Shut down and start over and it's back again.
I've learned much from Martin and others but they'll tell you I constantly aggravate them with PM's all the time. I just send virtual beers! Smile
