You have to select "none" as an EPG source for the tuner.
Then go into the mapping bit and select the none #2 line for the channel.
Then set the EPG back to what it was.

(the EPG bit is needed to make the column appear in the mapping bit).

Thanks.. sorted the channels now when I read this a 2nd time...

The "none" #2 line is the "non-#2 channel" ... I was in "none" mode after selecting "none" for the EPG Source.

Hi,

Just wondering has there been any solution found for this? I've got the patch, but still retuning occassionally picks up Audio #2.

Cheers

Hmm,

Okay, I got totally fustrated at this and deleted GBPVR and did a completely clean reinstall, new GBPVR.db3 and all that. Still have Audio #2 problems, but also can't get the channels to actually populate with the correct channel numbers.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Don't think so. Just hoping sub picks up on it for a patch or a new version.

The patch I supplied a couple of pages back should have stopped it remapping to audio2.

I'm not in a position to make any more 1.4.7 patches at this stage, due to moving my compiler from Visual Studio 2005 to Visual Studio 2008 a month or so ago.

Okey dokey. I'll keep digging about and see can I find an answer to this. I'll post back with any results! Smile

Used the new Config.exe that Sub kindly pointed out to me, but like others it fixed the problems with audio2 giving no sound on some channels, but in turn it created the problem on others.

Anyway, found this posting and just wanted to say thanks Martin. :-)

My experience (UK Freeview) was that Config wouldn't accept a selection of "none" for EPG source. It wouldn't save the source with that selection, or allow me to move on to Mapping. What worked was declining the offer to update the EPG on saving the mapping.

The initial mapping resulted in Audio#2 channels being mapped despite the selection of the alternative ones. After not updating EPG, I then deleted those channels and opened mapping to select the channels again. This time the correct channels were mapped, again after not updating the EPG on return to the Config.

The 2nd audio channels in most cases are Audio Description, but not all programmes have this, so they can seem silent. Even when AD is present, there can be long gaps in the speech.

In an ideal world, both channels would be available on a channel during live TV or recordings. I guess it's not a priority with so few people using it.

I too have a similar problem:-
Did a scan last night to 'capture' BBC3, BBC4 etc and mapped channels accordingly. All mapped channels work fine - audio and video.
Did a scan this morning to 'capture' Yesterday and enabled/added so that it appeared in 'Edit Recording Source' channels window and hit okay.
Opened PVRX2 - all the mapped channels are there with video (including 'Yesterday') but the majority eg BBC1, BBC2 ITV1 have NO audio.

Is there anyway around this?

All I am trying to achieve is a 'merged' scan ...

Messy, but one possibility is to clear your scancache file, do an evening scan and save the file, do a daytime scan and save the file and manually merge the two text files and map the result. This is similar to using someone else's cache file (say which transmitter yours is and someone may volunteer their working one)
I'm hoping this is one are of the impending new version that has improved
