Unfortunately I forgot that I had turned the NMT off fully last night to do a full router reboot so my test this morning wasn't the same as the other two due to the time it took the NMT to boot up....I have turned the recordingservice & the NMT server off at the moment & I will try the test again in a couple of hours.

BTW there were no problem with the test I did Smile

Sorry for the delay getting back onto testing this but I had a few plugin problems that I wanted to fix up so as they wouldn't muddy the water...so to speak......I currently only have MLPanel & W2 installed on this server.

I tested again firing up the PC & selecting W2 & then firing up the NMT & also selecting W2 at the same time, on the PC the "still updating" screen went away & all was fine on the NMT the "still updating" screen never went away & it was stuck in W2, I tried the colour buttons & the back button but nothing appeared to happen......logs attached.

Interesting update, on just using it today (not trying to break it <grin>). I noticed it wasn't updating during the day (it was in MLPanel most of the time could that affect it?) so I tried a reboot on the NMT & it came up with the "still updating" screen when I selected W2 & it again never went away, this was without having pvrx2 open in the server. Today's logs attached.

Jaggy,

How many NMT/MVPs do you have?

It looks like the weather2 constructor is getting kicked off multiple times in the MVP-PVRX2 logs.
Code:
2010-02-08 11:28:40.326    VERBOSE    [6]    About to check file: C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\weather2\weather2.dll
2010-02-08 11:28:40.336    VERBOSE    [6]    Looking for missing assembly in C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\weather2: WizUiHelper, Version=1.0.22.9, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
2010-02-08 11:28:40.336    VERBOSE    [6]    Looking for missing assembly in plugin\common: WizUiHelper, Version=1.0.22.9, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
2010-02-08 11:28:40.336    VERBOSE    [6]    Assembly found...
2010-02-08 11:28:40.497    VERBOSE    [6]    ...and loaded
2010-02-08 11:28:40.497    VERBOSE    [6]    WeatherTask constructor parameter count: 0
2010-02-08 11:28:40.607    VERBOSE    [6]    Weather2:           weather2.WeatherTask()-  Executed
2010-02-08 11:28:40.607    VERBOSE    [6]    Weather2:           weather2.WeatherTask()-  Version:     1.1.1.0
2010-02-08 11:28:40.607    VERBOSE    [6]    Weather2:           weather2.WeatherTask()-  WizUiHelper: 1.0.22.9
Then, less than 2 minutes later, there is another attempt load plugins, without a reboot of the device:
Code:
2010-02-08 11:30:05.150    INFO    [6]    About to check 'C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\weather2' for plugins
2010-02-08 11:30:05.150    VERBOSE    [6]    About to check file: C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\plugins\weather2\weather2.dll
2010-02-08 11:30:05.150    VERBOSE    [6]    WeatherTask constructor parameter count: 0
2010-02-08 11:30:05.150    VERBOSE    [6]    Weather2:           weather2.WeatherTask()-  Executed
2010-02-08 11:30:05.150    VERBOSE    [6]    Weather2:           weather2.WeatherTask()-  Version:     1.1.1.0
2010-02-08 11:30:05.150    VERBOSE    [6]    Weather2:           weather2.WeatherTask()-  WizUiHelper: 1.0.22.9

Still trying to find out why you are having problems though... don't know if this is part of the problem or not.

You'll get that with an MVP/NMT client - your ctor will run when an instance of pvrx2.exe is autostarted and then again when a client connects to the instance.

We discussed this earlier http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=45365 use the activate event to start on an MVP/NMT

BTW, sorry I haven't mailed the MVP yet, I have misplaced 2 AC adapter's and need to spend time searching through boxes of junk.

Thanks guys... I forgot about that conversation, so I didn't move the initialization stuff for a MVP/NMT out of the constructor.

I've given Jaggy a new build, so maybe this will start to get things rolling along for MVP/NMT use.

Martin,
I'm not going to put any pressure on you to find those adapters. I'm just grateful you were willing to give one up Smile

Thought it was time I gave a quick update on the new version it has been running fine even with my test of firing up W2 on the PC at the same time as the NMT, the only thing/annoyance I have noticed is when I go into W2 after an NMT fire up, even if the NMT has been running for a couple of hours, I get the "still updating from startup" screen?

Did the "updating from startup" popup appear and quickly go away?

Can you also get me some logs too, please?

No the "updating from startup" popup takes ages to go away which is why it's such an annoyance. Logs attached, the latest ones are from firing up the NMT at around 10am & then selecting W2 at around 11am & it showed the "updating from startup" popup for quite some time but not for as long as it was yesterday.
