ATI HD 650, Analog Video Stops after ATSC Recording

i am using drivers that came on cdrom with it...for both xp and vista/7
vista drivers work great on win7...

well i saw some USB 650's at fry's and got one for 39$...
and guess what, it's a full blown dual tuner!!!
of course you have to use the exact same drivers to enable the dual functionality, but hey, usb dual tuner with hardware encoder for 40$? can't beat it with a stick...

driver cd that came with it says "180-V01126-100" which only works in "either-or" tuner mode..
i loaded my cd from pcie-650, "180-V01128-100" which enables dual tuner on pcie card, and it works with this one too!

so grab one if you can...they have them on web for order also..
the video quality is top notch and adjustable filters too..pair one with a fit2pc and you have a silent tiny multi-tuner setup for less than 350$!
only bad thing is no remote and they are the white ones...not black....wooo...lol

I have a hd 4870 vid and 3.6ghz quad amd 3 samsung drives in raid 0. Pretty fast, but like you said if I enter task manager sometimes I lose the video feed. I am splitting the cable for QAM. I just record off of atsc mostly and watch qam channels, most are the same except I get OPB off of qam and would like to record Nova now and then.

Funny thing is sometimes on nova I get no audio. No telling what Comcast is doing.

I pretty happy now I have left gb-pvr running all day and no crashes.

I BACK UP MY GB-PVR REGULARLY, I'VE SCREWED UP THE CONFIG.XML FILE MORE THAN ONCE

Does anyone else have a video brightness difference between Digital and Analog. I had to set all the analog parameters manually. Have it fairly decent now. But took time messing with them.

You know, on my card, digital is very good, but analog is iffy. Sometimes it records the show with no issues, other times, half way through the recording, all of the sudden, the material gets very, very dark. Nothing I can do to fix this via a external player.

I have tried quite a few different drivers, and they all seem to have that issue, and also a issue with a high pitch whine for X secs when the recording first starts.
