Also, nrecord crashes after last scheduled recording, which halts convertvideo.bat for Roku conversion of the last recording.

This is probably to be expected. nrecord.exe has to run as a service. When you run it manually it's only meant for testing, and will only run for a few hours before terminating itself.

When using the INSTALL command, no log file is created and nothing related to errors nor warnings show up in event viewer. BTW, Criminal Minds recorded last night, and nrecord did not crash afterwards. In using the RUN option, nrecord has been running for nearly 16 hours..

From a command prompt started with 'Run As Administrator', try running "nrecord.exe UNINSTALL" followed by "nrecord.exe INSTALL".

Regardless of the lack of feedback from those commands, is the "NPVR Recording Service" now listed in your services control panel, and can it be started?

Was able to start the service, and npvr works without needing to start from command prompt.
