Alibert, rather then launching it in the browser, you might want to consider passing the URL to whurlston's YouTube plugin and then it will play inside NextPVR on the PC and on the NMT. It is very simple to implement and I can help you out if you want (I did this in SearchLite)

Hi,
Petrovski Wrote:Hi Alibert
This minor issue still present for me [no change in behavior at all] however the updating problem when the recording panel is disabled is fixed.
I've just started using your Video function - suggest you add at least mp4 and mkv to default extensions - I've added them manually.
Any chance one day that Videos will be grouped?
Thanks

can you see if the attached version corrects the next/soon display for you? Regarding grouping of videos, maybe in a future versin of the plugin when I get the time, although I must admit that it is not on top of my list at the moment.

Hi,
gEd Wrote:Thanks Alibert. No problems to report here.

I just noticed the trailer option which I haven't played with before. It works fine but I was just wondering if you might want to consider tweaking the URL that you use, possibly enabled via a config option.

replace "watch?v=" with "v/" to full browser window
Append "&HD=1" for best quality
Append "&autoplay=1" to autoplay

example
original URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IBNACePYk4
New URL: http://www.youtube.com/v/6IBNACePYk4&hd=1&autoplay=1

just a thought.

Martin

I just take the URL I get from TMDb and let the system handle it at the moment. Can one of you confirm that it is always a link to youtube? And where can I find a youtube plugin for npvr? For now, I think I'll leave it as is, maybe I'll add one of your suggestions at a later stage.

Hi,
smajor Wrote:Hello, I just updated to the latest beta from the last non-beta release. Everything works okay, but the show icon in the recordings list screen is not being displayed on any of my clients anymore.
there should be no changes to previous versions regarding the images in the recordings lists. Please ensure that you update all skin files, also those at the clients. Do you mean the preview images for recordings in the list view? Are they at least shown in the details popup? Does it only occur for imges loaded from the internet, or also for images stored along with the recordings on harddisk? Can you please attach the logfiles so that I can have a look.

I upgraded the server and all of the clients at the same time. I dragged the Skin and Plugins directory over to those in NPVR telling them to merge and then replace the items within (I was okay with the current db being replaced with a fresh copy). I also replaced my XmltvExtras with the beta. Then, I rebooted everything.

Since the db was replaced, I redid my settings on the server including redoing the UNC path for TheTVDB shared items.

For my images, I use exclusively what TheTVDB provides, linking my shows to the site. How/where those images are stored in the TV Recordings, I'm not sure.

Everything works as expected for the Guide. The Recordings, when viewed on the clients, are missing both their preview images and their episode images. Descriptions and playback are normal.

Attached is an archive with logs from one of the clients and the server along with a screen shot of the Ready Recordings as seen on the Server vs. Client.

Thank you for looking at these!

Hi,

for the displayed recordings in the screensot, it seems that the images are available in your recordings directory, and the client isn't able to resolve this path:

Server:
Quote:2012-03-11 10:09:46.268 [DEBUG][8] TV Listings: DeferredImageLoader [Awake *]: collecting image urls...
2012-03-11 10:09:46.268 [DEBUG][8] TV Listings: DeferredImageLoader [Awake *]: collected 'C:\RECORDINGS\Awake\Awake_20120308_22002300.jpg'
Client:
Quote:2012-03-11 09:44:08.516 [DEBUG][10] TV Listings: DeferredImageLoader [Awake *]: collecting image urls...
2012-03-11 09:44:08.521 [DEBUG][10] TV Listings: DeferredImageLoader [Awake *]: no image urls collected.
Personally, I don't use the client mode, so I can't help you in detail, but I think you should be able to allow the clients to read the server's recordings directory by mapping the recordings path to a network drive, like described here:

Both my NPVR and RECORDINGS directories on the server are shared. However, I can't find where to define the UNC path to the recordings within TV Listings. I have found, under the External Search tab, where to define the shared TVDB database which the linked thread is referencing. This works perfectly for TV Listings and has been since I updated.

I'll attempt to change the C:\RECORDINGS to the UNC path on the server in NPVRs setup and see if this works. This would be outside of TV Listings and not something I've had to do in the years of using TV Listings prior to this beta.

Edit: changing the Recordings path to the UNC path had no effect. I even tried changing this on the client, although it likely is ignored since it's in Client mode.

Edit 2: Now, after going back to one of the clients, data is starting to appear in TV Recordings. I've not done a thing since my last post but watched some items. Last I looked they weren't there, now they are.

Dear alibert,

if of any use to you just catching up on threads.

I do hope that you do not proceed down the enhancement view too much. Your plugin was fantastic with GB-PVR and brilliant when you ported it to Next-PVR. Enhancements are not needed IMHO, it will distract you from the core that you created Big Grin

cheers and very best
