One more thing I've found, the Last Channel functionality (yellow button) doesn't seem to work (at least for me). The display refreshes when I press the button, but it's like it changes to the channel that it currently is on instead of the last one I was watching.

That sounds awfully familier [Image: biggrin.gif]

I'm glad one of us (that be you) remembered it [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks

I've just tried the last channel button here. Seems to be working for me.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Is anyone else noticing this problem? In previous versions, the program guide would appear whenever I changed channels (the one that appears at the bottom of the screen with the program info for the show that's currently showing on the channel you're on). Now it doesn't seem to appear unless I explicitly press the BLUE button. Also, when changing chanels using the numbers on the remote, the channel numbers don't appear on the screen when I press the button (although the button presses do register as evidenced by me being able to change the channel this way). Is anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

Edit: Ok, with a little experimentation, I've discovered that the program guide appears when I change channels using numbers, but when surfing with CH+ and CH- it doesn't appear.
Yes, I noticed this after I put the release out. There is a relatively easy fix. Just uncheck the 'Force Minimal OSD on MVP' option. This was applying in live preview mode even when you're not using an MVP. No biggy, but thought mention the work around in case its really bothering you.

Is there a trick to get the avi/xvid/divx support working on an MVP?

Why what happens for you? Try it then email your logs over to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

Does a Trans2MVP.exe-native.log file get created?

I'm interested in your experience with divx on the MVP, AOSandman, as my recording setup is nearly identical to yours, save for a 2.0GHz PIV instead of the faster clockspeed Celeron.

You do need to have the Hauppauge MVP software installed to be able to watch divx files on the MVP through GB-PVR. I reuse a couple of their components.

Yeah, it's weird. I can reproduce it, but not easily. Different combinations of channel switching seems to do it. For example, when using Ch- and CH+ as my sole means of switching, I can use Last Channel. If I input by channel number, I can't jump back to the last channel I was at. If I continue to jump using channel number usually, I can't use Last Channel; only sometimes it works.

Thanks, that was the first problem. So I installed v2.4 of the MVP software. Then I saw errors probably relating to a missing codec, so I installed a codec for xvid. Still no luck. I get a black screen for a few seconds, then the MVP restarts. Here's the Trans2MVP.exe-native.log I end up with (I shortened the UNCs for clarity):

21:35:23.359 INFO Log started
21:35:23.359 INFO TRANSCODING: \\SERVER\SHARE\VIDEO.AVI
21:35:23.359 INFO TARGET: D:\PVR\Recordings\MVP000DFE002BFF.mpg
21:35:26.328 VERBOSE AVI file type
21:35:26.359 INFO Graph contains the following filters:
21:35:26.359 INFO - \\SERVER\SHARE\VIDEO.AVI
21:35:26.359 INFO - MainConcept (Hauppauge) MPEG Encoder

That's it. The videos play fine in Windows Media Player, and I can transcode them using HcwOfflineTranscode.exe (comes with the MVP software) without issue. The manually transcoded file plays fine via Video Library.

Any suggestions?
