I'm pretty sure it's what I described above. I was able to confirm the netpush.txt logging matches the scenario.

I deleted the channels (one more time, again),
to be sure there's nothing "hanging around" i restarted npvr (client and service),
i have done a new scan,
i didn't de-/select or sort any channels so far,
i checked thru "TV Guide" if there is EPG available (which was not, after this short time),
to get the current epg i hit "Update EPG" within the "Settings - Channels"-Section,
after the epg update was done i checked the "TV Guide" which now contains EPG data,
now i tried a "Quick Record" of the current show running on channel "tagesschau24" (the first available channel on the list),
waited some time and cancelled the recording,
check the result (still no record, the file was created but no video/audio-data),
last but not least i closed the client, stopped the service and packed all data as an archive for this reply.

Please note, the LNB2 of the Telestar Digibit Twin is currently not connected, so i disabled it in nvpr.

The current logs, screenshots, dump, etc. are attached.

I'd suggest setting up a test where you delete the existing channels, and only scan a single frequency (rather than a whole satellite of frequencies), and confirm you're getting the correct channels you'd expect on that frequency, then try recording or watching one of the channels on that frequency.

I'm pretty confident in my diagnosis of the problem, but just trying to find a way to prove that is the case. I suspect it's related to data from the previous frequency continuing to arrive for some milliseconds after tuning to the next frequency as part of a scan (so the app thinks "ah, I've got these channels on this frequency", but that is incorrect). Your "Telestar Digibit Twin" must behave a little different from my "Telestar Digibit R1".

Ok.

I deleted the channels,
restarted nvpr,
done a manual scan,
deselected from the result all other then the first channel ("tagesschau24", so there's only one channel in npvr now),
updated the epg,
switch to the "TV Guide",
started a "Quick Record",
waited a minute (or so),
cancelled the recording,
checked the recorded *.ts-file,
no luck so far i can see.

I checked the channel-settings and saw the "Inner FEC" is "3/4", but should be "5/6", switched the "FEC" and tested again, still no luck.
I checked again, the "FEC" jumped back to "3/4", it cannot be changed.

On the previous full scan of all channels it was "5/6".
I don't know, what it seems or if that matters.

I attached the logs and so on.

sub Wrote:you're trying to watch a channel with a service_id of 28721, but that frequency only has channels with service_ids 7031, 7032, 7034, 7035 and 7036. It never finds the channel information for 28721, so doesn't map the rest of the PIDs.

Sub after looking at the logs today which included a recording and the dump which do seem to have the proper ID, I thought about your comment and 28721 is hex 7031.

Sub, did this get resolved? I'm on the brink of buying either the Telestar Digibit Twin (as it's cheaper and I only have two LNBs) or failing that, the R1. Be nice to know which one works best!

I'm not sure. Only andydld would probably be able to tell us. I don't have a Telestra Digibit Twin here. There were several SAT>IP related fixes and improvements in the current release.

Make sure you delete and rescan for channels if you do.

I bit the bullet and bought a Telestar Digibit R1. It scanned the channels fine, and NextPVR downloaded the channel list, using the URL the Digibit provides. However, two problems emerged:
1. The channel listing was devoid of channel names, even though all the tuning info was there.
2. NextPVR was able to tune into the nameless channels - very briefly! I got no more than five seconds of video then black, while audio continued unchanged.

Any experience here on what to do now?

Thanks.

UPDATE 6/9/17
Trying this on another PC with a clean install, I get video - sometimes - but no audio (I think I can sort this out), but it also pops up with the 'No tuner available' error. Sometimes. I think the device is very buggy - even tough I've updated the firmware. I'm going to do some more digging around...
