I'm on Winter Hill and haven't experienced the problem (YET!)

The only thing that's supposed to have changed with the BBC 4 HD going live on COM8 is the reduction in the guard interval (in preparation for SFN). There may be increased EIT data on COM8 than the other muxes but it's not supposed to be excessive. In any case, if that was the cause, I would expect it to mess up the recording of other channels on the same mux not just BBC4.

I'm not a transmission expert so I'll leave it up to Sub to comment on Graham's sample TS stream.

If you need a sample from Winter Hill for comparison, happy to oblige.

Can you guys check what <CollectEIT> is set to in your config.xml? If you set it to false, does the problem go away? It will disable DVB EPG, but I just want to temporarily test if it's a factor.

it doesn't tune to the channel at all with collectEITset to false [edit] and it is selecting a different frequency
