Yep, that looks like it's working now.

When you setup your other non-legacy HDHR, you'll want to decline the offer to copy the tuning from the existing device. This will result in two copies of the channels, one for legacy channels, and one for non-legacy. You can then go into the Settings->Channels page, and click Advanced Tools -> Auto Merge, and it'll combine the channels with the same name, so you only see them once, but it'll use the correct type of tuning depending on the device it uses.

I just took a look at the Guide in Kodi, which is pointing at the NextPVR server. The channel numbers listed in Kodi are integers, whereas because this is an OTA, the first channel should be "2.1" / "WBBM-DT", not "1" / "WBBM-DT"

Is that a configuration thing that I still have to tweak, or should Kodi be showing "2.1"?

The NextPVR webserver guide is correctly showing "2.1 - WBBMDT"

Did you tell Kodi to use the numbers from the backend?

No, because I didn't know that was an option. I found it though, and now Kodi is correctly showing the OTA channel numbers.

I suggested that backend number should be the default and that the setting option should be considered standard not hidden in advanced. The Kodi PVR dev's disagree. It would be interesting to see how many users actually prefer the Kodi numbering.

Hi All,

The last update has resolved my issue with recordings. It will record now without the errors, and live TV works.

Thanks.

I am using a legacy HDhomerun for recording, and it used to work with the Nshared.dll from this thread, but after upgrading NextPVR I cannot get recordings to work anymore. If I use the Nshared.dll from this thread I get an exception at start of NextPVR.
Attached log from an attempt with the default Nshared.dll file.

Failure description in NextPVR

Failed, no errors but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.

You shouldn't have hijacked this two year old thread, since the issues isn't even closely related and NShared is not compatible between version.

Can you see if the the HDHR software can tune this channel?

hdhomerun_config 12200429 set /tuner0/channel auto:538000000
hdhomerun_config 12200429 get /tuner0/status

Sorry for the hijack, but this was were I found the solution last time.

I do not think it is tuning. Here is the response of the status
ch=auto:538000000 lock=none ss=76 snq=0 seq=0 bps=0 pps=0
