Maybe you don't have the current firmware with the proper PID filtering for NextPVR. Try setting the BDA mode to Mediportal in the HDHR settings.

I dug out my Hauppauge WinTV tuner plugged it in and used that to capture and got a decent file size compared to the HDhomerun

I fount the format for gathering 1 minute on DVB from an HDHR following these steps https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/troubles...al_channel Whereever you see ch<physical channel number> use the frequency instead of the channel number.
