Tuner Stops after 20 Minutes

@jguarrasi what is your Settings->General->Minutes setting if it is 60 it is the same issue if it is the default 20 it is not. By default the files on Windows are written to C:\Users\Public\Videos not C:\temp which is what the OP is using.

Actually, mine is set to 2 minutes. If not the same, issue. I will drop out of this discussion.

He was meaning, the Windows PC client, NextPVR.exe.  "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client\NextPVR.exe"

When playing  do you notice a second file in C:\temp getting created? If not cab you disable any antivirus since it might slow down things done just enough to cause an error.

Also I hate bugging you to try things but is there any difference if you tick "Keep digital tuners primed" on the Settings->Device page?

Hi Martin,

Apologies, didn't realise that he meant the desktop app. Interestingly, all is fine in this - I changed the buffer to 3mins and it plays a channel fine - in the temp folder it creates a new ts file every 1 minute and some ts.map files (whatever they are!). I've attached the writer.txt files that the registry change creates. Also attached are the logs - I'm hoping this is the whole lot, please let me know if not.

I've not tried the "keep digital tuners primed" option as yet, but will do so.

Thanks jguarrasi for your feedback - good, in a way, that I might not be alone with this. I also don't watch that much live tv these days and recordings haven't been affected. But I do tend to watch about half an hour of news most mornings, so I think I would have noticed this before last week. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it, although increasing the buffer size to 400 or above is working for me at the moment.

Hi Martin,

Just tried the "keep digital tuners primed" - happy to try things by the way, not bugging me at all - and watched via the web app (as we know the desktop app works fine for me) and it creates a ts file straight away, then starts to create a second ts file after 1 minute, but can't do it for some reason and then the picture freezes.
