Locast - I did something terribly wrong??

Well, I uninstalled and re-installed python, followed the wiki - check boxes & such, although the suggested install folder during the install always points back to a user folder - why is that?

did the uninstall/re-install a 2nd time and /program files/python39 is now the install folder

The only other tests I can think of is stop the service and run the command line

"C:\Program Files\NextPVR\NextPVRServer.exe"

and see what you see.

Also edit locast.bat and add this to the end of the python line

2> C:\users\public\npvr-data\debug.txt

It might give clues.

This morning I decided to start from scratch - deleted everything locast related and then re-installed starting at ground zero.

It is now working!

There must have been some artifact or something I overlooked from my previous install that was causing the issue.

Anyway, thanks so much Martin for all your help!

Great it is certainly not clear what could have caused this since python files are just scripts but glad it is straightened out now. To tell you the truth I don't know how it worked before.

I did set the path of the user folder in the environment variable table - I wonder if that was the reason it worked in the past??

Ok that is possible. I knew about PYTHONPATH but not the PATH command itself.
