Does the last line contain data for the last channel or are some channels missing? If all channels are there, then I'm not sure. I took a quick look at the code but I've forgotten quite a bit of VB6. I have however started on a C#.net implementation of Yapi2XML. I should have it ready in a few days.

Still getting all 5 download attempts failing after waiting over night. This time it sat there awhile with status of "downloading", but then failed all 5 attempts. All later attemps failed all 5 quickly. Here is the log file output. Is there anything I could be doing wrong here?

api.digitalhomeservices.yahoo.com is now redirecting to another url which could be the cause of some issues. I can handle this problem in .Net easily enough but I'm not sure if Oz' VB6 code can or not.

There might be a completely empty line after that (in other words a newline character at the end of the last line that contains data), I don't remember. If the last line is terminated with a newline character, is that a problem?

I found that it can take > 5 mins to get the listings file which is well beyond the timeout limit for IE. By using WebClient I can set my own limit so the request will not time out.

Without checking his code again, it may be that the redirection throws and error and his code simply sees it as "an error" but is not parsing the error to find out that it was simply redirected. I should be done with the new utility in 2-3 days. It will be a stripped down version though. It will not have the new show marker option because Zehd's enhancer can do this now. It will also probably not have the channel renumbering. That would only affect analog OTA and that ends in February so it's not really worth the time to me.

After 6 failed attempts, the YAPI EPG started working for me on day 7. Glad it gives 14 days worth of EPG. I mean, how many "no show details" can you record?

Thanks to "Channel remapper" I can change it to channel 7, so it is compatible with what I see on my TV set.

I use Schedules Direct so I am just doing this to help others but my time is limited. ATSC channels are not dependent upon channel numbers for tuning so remapping not required to make the tuning work like it is with analog tuners. I will be making the source code available if anyone wants to add that functionality, but I won't be able to do it anytime in the near future. You should be able to renumber the channel in the "Channels" tab of the GBPVR config to arrange the channels in the order you want.

The new Yahoo server now refuses connections if there are too many connections to the database. This could be causing the issues that people are having. It seems that the Yahoo data source is TOO popular. Don't expect them to improve the server as they have abandoned development on their application that uses it. I recommend that users start staggering their downloads for various times during the day.
