are you sure, you downloaded the database and placed it in the gbpvr-root-dir? if it still doesn't work, try this dll (copy to Plugins-dir): http://www.sitecomposer.de/CDPlayer.dll

this will add more logging. you could try to copy the db to the plugins-dir, but i don't think, it must be there...

thanks!

Hi dottore, I got the "Key in dictionary" error as well with the latest version if the plugin started with a CD in the drive. With the alternate CDPlayer dll you gave, the plugin now starts, but the looked-up tracks aren't listed in the file section (just says "Track 1", "Track 2" etc) when you actually play a track it does however list the track info in the currently playing box.

Looking at the GBPVR.exe logs, it doesn't appear to be finding/saving the data to the database but still looking it up each time:

I have put copies of the cdplayer.mdb file in the devnz, gbpvr and plugins directory, but none of them have had any data written to them.

cheers,

hmmm....to explain, what is happening: the plugin looks in the database. if it finds an entry, it'll not look up cddb. if not, it will go online, find the entry and try to put it in the database. that is exactly the point, where it breaks....

i think, you may have some problems with writing to the db. i'll look into this, maybe user/password don't work or the file is read-only....

could you please take a look at your db and check, if it's read-only? and download this dll: http://www.sitecomposer.de/CDPlayer.dll

you'll get a list of tracks now, but i don't think, db will work...

sorry dottore, got disracted trying to get my PCs power control sorted....

just given it a test. On initial insertion of CD, i still get the track numbers rather than titles :-s. Exit GBPVR, and go back in, try again with same CD and this time i DO get the track titles!

Still not writing to the database though :-(

log attached. mentions a field being too small to accept the data you're trying to store...
