I haven't tried the new version of XMLTV to be frank. Is it still the dos command line software or is it like GrabEPG where you simply click which channel names you want in the XML file?

The latest XMLTV hasn't fundamentally changed - although there is now a basic graphical front-end.
The fact that it is command line driven is what has made it so useful for many back-end systems. They just invoke it in background to do the required job.

I want to avoid Bleb cos ive notices some inconsistencies, and i like TVxb (mentioned earlier) which uses ITV listings.
Its setup easily and creates the XMLTV file for GB-PVR, but when i look at the TV Guide it seems to have 'invisible' channels inbetween the ones i can see with alternative listings... Whilst this isnt major it is pretty annoying! Has anyone else used this or noticed a similiar thing happening? (P.S the weird thing is it does it to ITV + BBC but not Channel 4 even though the XMLTV 'paragraphs' are identical for each channel)

radio times are now providing listings in a better format and i have updated my grabber download it from http://www.alanbirtles.dsl.pipex.com/xmltv/xmltv.htm

makes life much easier for me and hopefully will solve the above problem!

whoops, fixed it now and will upload 2.0.1 in a minute, i don't know where the access violations are coming from though
