To refresh-

It was suggested to try the STB wired into my HVR-1600. As expected, that all works fine.

So, the IRBlaster is the key. I found it and the remote in a junk box, plugged it in to the card, and going through WinTV to set it up. The process has come to a grinding halt.

Verizon's remote obviously works fine with the STB. My IRBlaster isn't working. I've set it to the right MOT (model DCT700), no luck. I set it to run all tests, no luck.

I'd just downloaded the latest WinTV a couple weeks back.

Any ideas?

When they say it has to be close to the STB, they mean CLOSE!

Let's see, at I'm guess 14-18 inches it didn't respond.

Curl that thing right over the STB, and it's passing the power on/off test.

Sheez...

Yup. That's why most of them have double sides tape, so you can stick it right over the sensor...
