This is true, but the stuttering occurs only in GBPVR.. if I open up lastgraph.grf in GraphEdit and run it, everything works fine.. so it seems like something is going on within GBPVR causing the issue.

I've attached my logs, maybe there is something there that can shed light.

This problem only started with 98.08 .. didn't have it before. It happens regardless of video or audio decoder, or video renderer..

Sounds familiar

Well, having striped the machine back to basics things appear to have improved. Both live TV and recorded TV are working perfectly now. The trouble is, I don't know what solved the problem! The current configuration actually failed and I gave up on GBPVR. 3 days later I went back to give it one more go and all worked fine.

I would like to point out that I had exactly this same problem with a new install of GBPVR. I cannot say exactly what version it was that I had, or the one that I upgraded to.. But I know I have the newest one now, and I had exactly this same issue.

The problem, in my case, turned out to be the GBPVR Recording Service. It was strange, as there didn't seem to be any CPU load from the service, but it was most definitely causing the problem.

I'd be interested to know if turning off the GBPVR Recording Service fixes any of you other guys up?

I have found that with my FX5600 that is makes all the difference if the monitor you are watching on is set as Primary. This only seems to apply to GBPVR as Zoomplayer seems to play fine on the 2nd display. I have spent literally hours with different combinations and this seems to be the primary issue for me.

I normally use Dual screen with a TFT on the VGA output and a Plasma on the DVI, I have set up shotcuts in Ultramon to switch to plasma only and it plays fine.

You shouldnt use 'VMR9 Custom' with a second monitor, but the other video renderers should be fine.

Does anyone know where I can download a copy of a version prior to 98.08 from?

I have tried everything and am still getting jerky video.

I dont know what specially is causing your problem, but its worth trying the attached patch to see if it helps. It fixes a problem which was causing some unnecessary extra processing to occur every couple of seconds.

This patch can only be applied to a v0.98.13 release.

I dunno what you changed in that patch, but it seems to have fixed my problem. Hitches are gone, and I can keep the GBPVR service running.

I hope that fix makes its way into the production release asap. Smile Cheers.
