Hello all,

Its been a while since you heard from me, sadly I have been choked with work and found no time to further develop MAP...

But I am planning to spend some time on MAP now on my christmas day-offs, and I have gotten several feature requests and a few questions that I will try to answer the best I can:

First the recursive album search. You all should now I have actually tried it, but with the current user interface it gets hard to get a neat structure. Therefore i am planning to change the user interface a bit for the next version... Hope to fire off some screenshots in here when I got it all figured out.

Some of you have pointed out that MAP only supports ID3v1.1 tags, and yes - next version will most probably have ID3v2 support.

The "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is probably due to some lazy programming on my side, I will do my best to sort these problems out. If you do get them, please submit to this forum what you did (or tried to do) when they showed up.

Many asks me for the randomize option, and I think I have a solution to this in next version. By randomizing it means that I rip off the current loaded playlist, delete it, do some sort of randomize sorting and the load all files again. There is no known simpler way of doing it...

Last but not least: Creating your own playlists from MAP... It is a interesting feature and I will do my best to find a solution.

Expect to hear from me again further on this december...

Also a big thanks to all people that sends me kind and intelligent suggestions fopr features, and to those that are today are happy users of MAP (despite the limitations) and let me know it... [Image: smile.gif]

For the recursive directory navigation I think you should look to slimserver for inspiration. Basically the way they operate is that you can hit play at any point in the folder hierarchy to play everything within and beneath the point you're at. And they handle it all through a two line display!

Tobias,

Is it possible to make the current playlist go back to the beginning when it reaches the end of the list (repeat playlist). My goal would be to have a playlist playing at all times. That way if I switch over to my PVR it is already playing a song.

I also seem to have the problem that when my play list ends, my PVR often crashes. I then must restart the service on my computer to get it to come back on.

Anyone know how to get rid of the screen saver? Or at least make it longer than 60 seconds?

Hello,

I search for an info...

How can I add a picture to an album?

I tried with cover.jpg and other "common" names in the folder it-self without any success.

No more info on the wiki.

Please [Image: tounge.gif]

By the way, Tobias, did-you get my mail?

Try folder.jpg. That's the Windows default; it might work.

Has any one resolved the issue with red buttonn not doing the page up? In my case page up functionality is under REW button which is a bit strange

I use PVR350 with 301 drivers (those have to use direct support of the remote control in the GB-PVR in my case)

and have a silver remote with it.

Regards
Maciej

gbpvr uses {CTRL-R} for both rewind and red. i think the problem only occurs if you are using direct access. sub is aware of the {CTRL-R} problem and is planning on changing this, once he does this, and the plugins are updated this problem will be solved, until then you'll have to use rewind.
