I am also having problems launching the Music plugin with 1.3.7 with the Slick skin installed. When select the option I get the "unhandled exception" message. Whenever I change the skin to Blue is seems to work fine so far.

What do I need to do to get it to work with the Slick skin included with 1.3.7?

Thanks!

You may have to copy the contents of ..Skin2\Blue\_CoreImages and ..Skin2\Blue\Music to ..\Skin2\Slick. (When prompted in copying _CoreImages, choose not to overwrite any images.)

Hi Mixman

Im very please to here of your plugin and wondred if it could be used to accomplish a requirement I have for muting incoming audio whist playing DVD or watching recordings etc. My current setup has my HTPC plugged into some Logitech 5.1 speaker, into the sound card optical in I have taken a feed from the telly. I do this so I can have the telly come thought the speaker via HTPC.

However it would be really nice if on invoking a DVD or playing a recording the input from the telly could be automatically muted and on return to the main menu unmuted so i don't have a mix of DVD and telly (saves remembering to mute the telly when playing DVD etc)

Is there anyway I can call the mixer then invoke the DVD plugin ?

Any feedback appreciated

Cheers T

Hello, it is technically possible but I have to say no. There is too much work to do that because it has to be generel and support any kind om audiocard/s and mixer setup in windows.

Hi.

Just started to use this plugin. One thing I notice is that my 'Various Artists' albums have a separate entry for each track in the 'Music Albums' view. The first entry have a thumbnail and the rest don't. This seems wrong to me because all the tracks are tagged with the same album name, so there should only be one entry in the list.

As I have many compilation albums, this makes the Music Album view messy and hard to navigate. Is there an option to consolidate the entries?

From what I can see, the Music plugin is not installed on your system.
But the Music plugin does not play CDs, but the CD player plugin does.

Yes, I have seen that too. I'll ask Bekken why, the Albums is shown per Artist.

hi there, yes i definitely have it installed - i use it quite often. I am trying to play cds through the cd player plugin - i have it enabled (it came with music?) - is there another plugin i need to download to get it to work?

To note - i have my main drive installed as D:
but the installation .bat file puts everything in the right places, or at least appears to.

when trying to play a cd, it finds the disk, eventually bringing up tracks as 'unknown' + wont play them. If i start at track 1, it just skips down the tracks without playing until the last track.

so do i need to look at the cd player plugin, i cannot seem to find a seperate one, i understood it came with the music plugin (as it is in my plugin list + on my main menu now)

any help would be appreciated
cheers Smile

It is a typical behaviour if the DirectShow filter CDDAREADER.AX is missing. Please make sure that the CDDAREADER.AX filter is registered, try to unregister and register it again. IF the CDDARREADER.AX not included in the pack from MixMan, google for it, easy to find.

Unregister form command line prompt:
RegSvr32.exe /U "PATH_TO_FILE\CDDAREADER.AX"

Register from command line prompt:
RegSvr32.exe "PATH_TO_FILE\CDDAREADER.AX"

About "Unknown", it uses stuff from Windows Media Player to resolve and download collections of titles and album names for inserted ORIGINAL Audio-CD's. So, if it works in WMP it should also work in the plugin.
