Sub, can I ask what the problem was? Was it something only unique amongst two users?

sub Wrote:Set your pincode in the config app, then place a file called "protect.txt" in the directory you want protected. When you try to navigate into that directory in the Video Library, you'll be prompted for the pin.

How can I protect only some of the recorded programs. At this moment I am using this to record only TV programs that are suitable for kids, but if there is a possibility to use PINCODE when setting up recording, it would be more than wanted. Then I could mark the recordings I want to protect.

Because recordings are all in their own folder, the protect.txt is not suitable in my situation.

For example:

TV recordings\Hello Kitty -> for Kids
TV recordings\Bones -> for me

And when I record this during night I don't want my kids to be able to see it in Recordings list when they use GB-PVR.

I hope you all get the point here and thanks in advance

If the pin code was on a per-file basis, you would have to re-enter the pin code for each protected file you wanted to play.

I think it would be more user friendly to have an option to specify a second default target folder for 'pin protected' recordings. When you set up to record, you could check the Pin Protected option, and this recording would go into that second default path folder.

Or, you could have all recordings go into a working folder, then manually move files into either the general folder, or a private pinned folder.

Or, you could use a util of some type (even make one in Autohotkey) that scans your recordings folder looking for match words like 'Bones', and it moves these files automatically into a private folder. Of course, you would have to add each show name or trigger word to the match list.

Running a utility with the postprocessing.bat would probably be the answer for now. Sub didnt seem to be too thrilled to add this feature to the recordings. He has many other features he wants to add he is working so hard on.

So after your recording is done, the postprocessing.bat runs the utility to move the recording folder with comskip files (if applicable) and anything else to a PIN protected folder in your Video Library.

I dont use any live tv or recordings of it, but I did read that the postprocessing.bat file does pass %1 as the 'file name' (with full path ?), and %2 is the channel number.

How about a util that checks channel number, and if the channel is in a specified list, it moves it to a private (PINned) folder ?

Maybe you cant just move files around like this, does it screw up the database ?
