Yes - even a 1200 second setting didn't help - still massive epg gaps this morning, so I have changed it back to 120 seconds. I have never had epg gaps after choosing the "update epg" option from the channels menu, so waiting for half for it to complete with the longer time setting seemed pointless.
sub Wrote:So, I'd like to see logs form the following.
1) do an 'empty epg'
2) set epg update hour to current hour.
3) restart recording services
4) leave it 10 minutes or so to do the EPG update, then upload the nrecord.log and ndigitalhost.log files.
I have noticed that EPG is fully populated every time I follow the above. On the other hand I still get missing shows when the automatic update is started regularly.
Nistrod Wrote:nextpvr.exe -updateepgonly seems to fix the problem, so I have scheduled this to run each day.
Weird...???
That seems to work for me too, thank you. My issue was that my EPG was being fully populated but the list of pending recordings was missing lots of my recurring recordings.
Sub, you mention they both call the same routine in the background, would it be something to do with the service being run as Local Service and NextPVR as a standard user - or does NextPVR.exe still use the service for updates?

I wouldn't think so, and the above test people performed were allowing the recording service to do the update, and they were getting full listings.
I have had a 6am -updateepgonly scheduled for the last few days as well as my 2am automatic update, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem for me. Bizarrely enough, I checked the guide at 7.55am this morning and saw a full listing, but when I checked an hour later, three channels now had no data. Very strange considering no update should have occurred over that time. I will check in another hour to see if more channels have dropped out.
I noticed the problem at about 1530, and did as asked: reset the auto EPG time, restarted the service, emptied the EPG and updated the EPG from settings.
All the logs are attached.
Also in there are the output from a series of DVBGuides done at the same time. All seem good, with hundreds of programs, compared to the < 10 for each channel of NPVR.
