NPVR 2.5.9 - Current Patches and Getting Started info

I've added a new self-installing version of the patch roll-up provided by skl111 (http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1363196888). Give it a try. If it works fine for everyone, I'll try to make that the standard patch release going forward.

My Avira antivirus claims thatr it has found the virus "SPR/AutoIt.Gen" in your installer.

Afaik that just means that skl111 used AutoIT to make his install script. Since it's a scripting tool like any other, it could be used for evil so Avira is just triggering on the simple fact that AutoIT was used. I've fed the installer to MSSE on Windows 7 and Windows 8 (now called Windows Defender again), and they find no problem with it.

I have a similar annoyance with the AngryIP scanner which I have on most of the flash drives I use to work on customer's computer systems. Some of the antivirus programs claim that AngryIP is a "malicious hacking tool" and try to delete it off my flash drive; this is quite annoying the next time I go to use AngryIP and find it's gone.

I see, another case of too much security. After turning off Avira it seems to have worked excellent.

I'll do the next one without UPX. Thats what is triggering it im pretty sure. Of Course my Avast doesn't trigger either.

I hope that the raw patch files will continue to be available as I prefer that. Thanks.

yeah, if people express a preference for having both I'll continue to make both available. I'll have to post the raw patch zip somewhere for skl111 to get it and make the installer, so I may as well keep posting it here.
