Great.

I don't remember making any major changes but it's possible. Good to know it's working.

Quote:However, I'm still having the problem with the full TV guide where selecting any visible channel or programme always displays the details for the first visible item in the list(s) Sad
Can you post a screen shot? I'm still having trouble visualizing this.

Quote:I'm also seeing the first few programmes for today (Monday) duplicated 4 or 5 times in the program list - ISTR someone else reported a similar issue previously, although this is the first time I've noticed it.
Yes, I've seen it too. I think it's to do with some new code I used for TE - I need to cross reference with the nDroid v1.x code. It should fix itself when the day changes.

Cheers,
Brian

What's the best way to do that? - a screen capture app (any recommended?) or just a digital photo...

On Ice Cream Sandwich, hold down Power and Vol Down buttons simultaneously. If you get it right, a camera click sounds and the screen sort of shrinks a bit. This puts a screenshot in a folder called something like Pictures/Screenshots (IIR).

2.0.2 seems to have fixed the day headings. Also today starts at midnight.
Mine installed fine.

Cheers

Check the user manual of the tablet - it may have screen capture capability (early Android versions didn't but more recent devices seem to). Failing that a screen capture app but I've never used one (my dev tools have a screen capture option). If you can get a good digital photo then that would be enough.

Yes, I can do that on my Nexus 7 - wasn't sure if it was universal on Android v4+ devices though.

Thanks for the confirmation. Smile

Thanks Nistrod/Brian - Vol Down/Power works great... so much easier than trying to get a good photo of a screen Smile

Brian - as you can see from the screenshot, I've tapped on Dave but I get BBC Four's listings (I could have tapped on any other visible channel and I would still get the listings for BBC Four) - I've then tapped on Glen Cambell but I'm seeing the details for the first program in the visible list - however if I long-press on Glen Cambell, I get the popup for... Glen Cambell...

Thanks Alex.

So are you saying that if you tap on Pick TV, it will still show the BBC FOUR icon/channel number/name at the top and still show the BBC FOUR programmes in the list below the days of week tabs?

What happens if you scroll the channel list down one position so BBC THREE is at the top and you select, for example, ITV3 from the channel list?

Brian, I've tried reading the manual at least a dozen times - front to back - back to front - upside down - I even held it up to the light... and I still can't understand it...

I suspect that the English version of manual was translated from the original Korean by one of the "monkeys with typewriters"...

Yep - I can tap on any channel currently visible on the screen and I till get BBC Four

As a musician very much into music technology back in the early 80s it was great fun reading the manuals of drum machines, synthesisers etc. (mostly Japanese origin). I remember a friend bought a drum machine which had a button labelled "Feature" - the manual said "Feature function. Press once to enable Feature function, press again to disable Feature function". Sure enough an LED would light up when it was pressed but we never worked out what difference it made to the sound (or anything else).

OK, this has to be a peculiarity (bug?) with the version of Android on your tablet or with the way lists are treated. I couldn't reproduce that when you sent your data folder to me. I had an idea of what you were describing but I definitely didn't see that behaviour.

I'll need to trace through the code - the downside of the seven day view is it's actually made up of nine different UI components which all need to talk to each other politely.

Cheers,
Brian
