Localhost Not Working

I know in V4 and earlier launching NextPVR for the MVP/NMT required special settings. In V5 I am not sure why it might be required LocalSystem is pretty high level but I know as a user I don't see the line something like "resuming from sleep" logged.

FWIW, I did try Local System account with "Allow service to interact with desktop" ticked, but that doesn't work. I still get the 500 error. Switching back to my account worked again.

If you have your NextPVR configured for sleep, put it to sleep for a few minutes and see if you get these OnResume message.

You mean put the laptop to sleep for a few minutes? I can do that. Where would I look for those messages - the NPVR log?

Yes in my example I let it sleep a couple of minutes. The log will be in the nrecord.log but you will have to stop the service or see it from the browser zip.

I don't get this logging running as user.

If you were manually running NextPVRServer.exe, then I wouldn't expect to get the [Suspend] and [Resume] notifications, since they come from the Windows service controller.

If you're running as a service, whether the default localsystem account, or some other user account, then I would expect you'd get these notifications.

Nothing significant happens as a result of these notifications, so it shouldn't really matter if you don't get them. If you're got the option tick to keep digital tuners primed, it will shut them down whenever the machine goes into standby. If you're not getting these notifications, and you're having issues with the device after resume, you can untick the option to keep them primed.
