Using my Sky Q dish for Freesat (UK), what do I need?

Yes only the filename 0282.ini defaults to Freesat, you probably didn't picked Freesat on the scan in a UK DVB-S scan. Easiest way to fix that would be to go to Settings-Channels Advanced tools and then pick the digital tuner and first automap to None and then redo that but this time automap to Freesat.

The difference is Freesat option uses two frequencies to capture the Freesat and Sky EPGs rather than frequency by frequency. With it you should get the full guide that you saw on your Sky boxes rather than maybe only now/next info.

I added the logo pack linked elsewhere on this forum, clicked download icons and they are working now. I though it would get all the logos from the freesat signal though?

No, it doesn't get them from Freesat. There isn't a standard DVB mechanism for that. Those channel icons you've got must have been supplied some other way.

It will download them from xmltv or schedulesdirect epg sources

I did originally have an m3u and xml link for iptv before I purchased my sat-ip server so it must have downloaded them from that xml link before I removed it. Thanks for the info Sub ?
