Thanks Sub.

Installing this mux; http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/antonba...rt_1.3.zip
, fixes that problem and everything appears to work. I would suggest not even bothering with the Showshifter mux.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the great work to date. First off, I'm a noob :o and am on a steep learning curve. Bear with me, I'll (generally) spend time trawling the forums before posting stupid questions here!

I dabbled with gbpvr in December last year and decided that I wasn't getting anywhere fast. Now, with a clean machine - I'm getting somewhere. I've followed setup to the letter and installed for the AutoDVRConvert option in favour over showshifter.

I'm nearly there now, I have audio for all the found channels, just no video. Any pointers?

For all you other Freecom users out there, the latest update I've had from the Freecom support team is that their own BDA drivers are running late:

Quote:it looks like the release date has been pushed back to at least the end of Feb

Don't know what I'm doing except learning but I found a link to Hama site, which appears to be the same stick

http://www.hama.de/portal/articleId*114663/action*2598

Its in the english section of their site and you can get an updated version of the player and a BDA driver in the SDK.

Just trying to get it to work with GBPVR now, but the player looks better.

Hi everybody,
I've been trying really hard to get my Freecom USB DVB-T stick to work and I just can't seem to do it!
I have tried installing the Yakumo BDA drivers and the Hama ones but it doesn't seem to be able to find any channels. I don't know how I'm having so much trouble.
I really want to get this working in GBPVR as the Freecom player is well rubbish!

For info, I ...
- reinstalled my Freecom stick onto a different USB port
- manually installed the Yakumo BDA driver in response to the new hardware
- installed the mux software from one of the previous links
- removed and the reinstalled the GBPVR app
- checked the BDA.ini and it has the freecom entry previously mentioned
- added a new BDA recording device via settings for my Freecom stick

... this is where it starts to go wrong ! But i'm close ...

Using MAP digi channels, if I now scan all channels, it does recognise some channels and they appear in the preview box. Picture looked good and I get sound.

But it doesn't then seem to remember them so it runs thru and finds many channels but then tells me its found nothing !

I noted the signal strength is up around 60-70, so I wonder if the signal strength is too low.

Anyone got any other ideas ? I tried manually doing it but wasnt sure about the channel to use - may try this further.

BTW - the Yakumo TV viewer found all expected channels so there must be some silly issue left.

Thanks, Bruce

Ok got it half working! Except now I have sound and no video, what could be going on there? The Yakumo TV Viewer works, why not gbpvr?

If you're finding channels, and getting sounds but no audio, it's most likely related to your video decoder. What one are you using?

Thanks sub,
Yes I'm finding all the channels and can hear them, just can't see them at all!

When you say Video Decoder do you mean what is listed in the Playback tab? If so it's just on System Default. I have a NVIDIA Geforce Go 420 32MB on my laptop.

Nick -- what did you end up doing to find the channels. I tried XMLTV to load the EPG, but on the preview, whilst can find 'The Hits' and 'Sky News', it doesnt then find them to be able to map anything ?

Thanks, Bruce

I set the transmitter information for my region, then selected DVB EPG Broadcast. Clicked the Map digital channels...
