I'm consistently getting the "subscript out of range" error box. I searched the thread and saw several others have gotten it too, but didn't see any solutions. Can anyone help me out with what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Thanks,
Torquewrench

my DISH524 listing lumped all channels together (to make the total channel count 1047 and counting). What happens now is I get a "YApi2XML Run-time error '7': Out of memory".

Any suggestions as to how to get things back on track?

Tried mc2xml with no luck either - the file format for mc2xml seems different and doesn't play well with v0.99.12.

TIA - log follows

Version: 1.2.6 Starting: 28 Oct 08 19:32:41
19:32:41 - Current Provider Code: DISH524-
19:32:41 - Running from command line
19:32:42 - 1047 channels - downloading schedule
19:34:30 - Schedule downloading, unzipping
19:35:11 - Schedule file: 20081028-DISH524.txt - generating channel xml

One of the variables in the program are probably not sized to allow for the huge number of channels. I doubt you'll get that fixed unless you want to crack into the code and adjust it yourself.

mc2xml, really shouln't be having a problem even with 99.12. But really!!! Satellite AND 99.12. I'm sure you're holding back from upgrading because something on your computer is not up to snuff, but 99.12 is two years old (and then some) and you should be able to ugrade your hardware with two year old hardware, cheap-cheap, and then start using the newer GB-PVR. Not just the GUI is different. The recording engine is two years newer too!

Just my thoughts

I gave up on the Yahoo servers long ago. I used zap2xml for quite a while, but mc2xml http://mc2xml.110mb.com/ works best for me. Smile

Is anybody else currently having a problem with Yapi2xml? I recently built a new machine and when I try to Get Providers I get a dialog box with the message: "Run-time error '9' Subscript out of range" When I click "OK" the entire program closes.

Any words of wisdom?

In the previous posts I suggested what that error means, and hinted that the fix would not be forthcoming.

I will now be clear. Yapi2XML is broken, probably because the server changed something and the developer was/is unable to make changes, or bugs exist and fixes are unavailable.

-Oz- has made available the source code. (found in this thread) The program was written in VB6. Anyone is free to open it up and fix it, or take some of the ideas out and make their own utility.

-Oz- is currently away from home, serving his country. He has made a brief statement that he is not continuing development (found in this thread)

Given the several other free scrapers or grabbers, it does not make sense to continue flogging a dead horse.

Good luck!

Moderators: May I suggest editing the title of this thread to

EPG Utility: Yapi2XML (discontinued)

Removing this specific post... (no sense keeping this post for archives)

and closing this thread
