I found and installed YAWCAM, set it to create a .jpg in the gbpvr directory on the server every 10 secs, used gbpvr config to add the .jpg URL with a 10 sec refresh on my client, started up gbpvr and there is my image in glorious camcolour.

However, there is something still not quite right - I can see a little blip in local network load every 10 secs (could be coincidental - still to check this with other refresh rates) but I don't always get a refresh of the image on gbpvr client (haven't checked for same on server).

YAWCAM occasionally complains that it cannot find the path to save the image blah blah and stops - obviously it tried to write the .jpg at the same time as gbpvr on client was reading it to refresh.

So I've got a bit to do yet, but it's a promising start...

Yes it does, but it will have the same look as the all the legacy plug-ins.

I am thinking of updating it but want to finish Cinema Listings v6 first.

OK, will try it again here. I may need your logs if I can't reproduce the problem.

edit: works fine here with no exceptions on PVRX2 v1.0.16 (latest). Reproduce the problem then zip and attach pvrx2.exe.log and I'll take a look. What skin are you using?

I get the exception (and VERY nasty crash of the PVRx2 GUI) with Community Skin 3. With the default Blue I don't get anything at all.

I stand corrected; ugly crashes in Blue as well...log attached. Hope it helps, I miss my Cams!

The log is reporting it can't find the skin file. Do you have the file C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\blue\WebCams2\skin.xml ?

At this point I don't even have any plugins anymore! I moved a copy of the News/RSS legacy plugin into the Plugins folder and started PVRx2 and now all of a sudden I can't see ANY plugins beyond the core ones. There was no major crash, no error messages.

The plugins are actually THERE in the folders, but for some reason neither GBPVR or PVRx2 sees them. They don't even show up in the config program. :confused: :mad:

ARRGGGHH! I turned off the box for the night and will start it up later today to see if the situation resolved itself or if I am doing yet ANOTHER reinstall. Any suggestions at this point would be helpful.

As you can imagine, I'm not a big fan of the new versions right now. I'm sure there was a reason for trading all the wonderful plugins (that worked so well for me since I started) for some eye candy and prettier fonts, but right now I don't see it.
