Looks like SchedulesDirect has incorrect line up info for my area! How do I get it corrected (on their site and in my database)?
Figured it out, reported it.

Now - how do I delete a mapping I accidentally entered??

OK - channels that show up in the mapping window DO NOT EXIST in the channel table in the database! WHAT IS GOING ON?????

Well, just exited the capture source editor, and all of a sudden the recorder plugin changed to BDA recording plugin from Digital recording plugin!

I am about to give up and abandon this project.

You definitely dont know enough about how it works to be poking about in the database, so I'd advise you stay out of there.

Channels listed on the left in the mapping window are the EPG channels, that come from your EPG source, and are in the CHANNEL table. Channels listed on the right of the mapping window are those digital channels found during the scan of your cable system - if you've mapped these to an EPG channel using the tuning dropdown, then they'll be in the SOURCE_CHANNEL_MAPPING table, otherwise they wont be in the database.

The 'BDA Recording Plugin' is the 'Digital Recording Plugin'. I renamed it to 'Digital Recording Plugin' a couple of releases ago. I forgot show it as 'Digital Recording Plugin' on the capture sources tab of the config app - just ignore it though, nothing is wrong.

Thanx for the info - so I need to take up channel lineup errors with SchedulesDirect - is there anyway to change the channel call sign, or would it just be overwritten next EPG update?

Well, a guy from SD told me the call sign had changed - however, all lineups in the Houston area still refer to it as KHCW and even on the station they call themselves The CW?!

Will the mapping go faster if I remove the channels I KNOW I don't get over my cable?

Also, when scanning - what's the signal strength display range? I get -20 and Quality 100 on the channels it pulls in - what is too weak of strength?

That doesnt really make sense to me. It scans for channels, then your look at each of the clear qam channels to determine which channel it is, then make the mapping. You would never have mapped channels you didnt find in the clear anyway.

They're pretty much random numbers. It varies depending on the demod and drivers used by your device. I've no idea what range your device will return.

It'd have been nice if they'd standardized, with all manufacturers returning 0 - 100 or something similiar...
