MixMan Wrote:Yes, I have seen that too. I'll ask Bekken why, the Albums is shown per Artist.

As per request when developing the downloading and lookup/match of coverart uses the query "%artist% - %album%". If a file is tagged with "Title: A songname, Artist: Various Artist, Album: Trance Collection 14" the plugin will look for "Various Artist - Trance Collection 14.jpg" and if it doesn't exist it'll look for "Various Artist.jpg".

When building the "Album View" list; It is sorted in alphabetic order, Song - Artist - Album is sorted in Artist, then album, then track number.

I hope this explains the current "logic". MixMan, if you want any changes to this, please contact me so we can discuss it.

Is it possible to get a hybrid mode in the Music Plugin?
Meaning that if there is only folders in a open folder, icon view is used. But if there is files in the folder as well, the list view is used.

BekKen Wrote:It is a typical behaviour if the DirectShow filter CDDAREADER.AX is missing. Please make sure that the CDDAREADER.AX filter is registered, try to unregister and register it again. IF the CDDARREADER.AX not included in the pack from MixMan, google for it, easy to find.

Unregister form command line prompt:
RegSvr32.exe /U "PATH_TO_FILE\CDDAREADER.AX"

Register from command line prompt:
RegSvr32.exe "PATH_TO_FILE\CDDAREADER.AX"

About "Unknown", it uses stuff from Windows Media Player to resolve and download collections of titles and album names for inserted ORIGINAL Audio-CD's. So, if it works in WMP it should also work in the plugin.

hi bekken, thanks for your reply - i ended up using the CDripper plugin which is working fine for me - thanks for your reply Smile

I've been thinking of that myself AND add a table that "logs" the view mode for each folder / mode so when selecting a folder it will switch to the viewmode you used the last time you browsed it. Right now I have no time at all to make any adjustments but hopefully in May when I am back in Sweden and my now one-year long "holiday" in South-East Asia is over.

Thats good, I'll wait for that update then.

(And I am not envious, no sir, not at all - sitting here at work in Gothenburg with it's normal February weather...)

MixMan/Bekken

Hi, I went to test this with the PCH again now that I have HDMI audio working and I do get PVRx2 launching a program which is a no-no and it is causing a crash. I tried to search the the xml use to stop this but turning off all the command lines and setting the scanner to zero doesn't stop it. Can you remind me what I need to do?

I figured this out, I missed the news that MediaScanner replaced MusicScanner and I had them both installed, but I had not turned off media scanner which crashes the MVP/PCH in interactive mode.

1) Has the music plugin got a random play feature? I can find a playlist called jukebox, but can't seem to get it to play anything.
2) The media scanner has archived thousands of pictures from my photos folder. Is this an upcoming feature for a photos plugin?

Just wondering why the wiki has a 2009-01-26 update listed but the download still appears to be the 11/27/2008 version?

Check the date of MediaScanner.exe in the GBPVR folder, I don't think the plugin changed.
