My firewall did not have the recording service listed so I added it. The first time I tried, I got 0 bytes again. Now it appears to be working a little better. I can record 1 channel but not 2 with the HDHR, doesn't matter if Dynamic tuner is checked or not.
Also, it's likely me but I added the reg key and nothing ever shows up in c:\temp. Does it make any difference if I have GBPVR on another partition and my videos saved to a different partition?

Added the patches, got 1 program to record 100% but trying to record 2 at the same time didn't work so I checked my settings and I had the HDHR set at 2 tuners but had them as device 1 & 2. Switched it so both show device #1 and I can now record 2 shows at the same time. The dyanamic tuner when checked will only allow me to tune 2 channels. I guess for multi record it has to stay unchecked.
I guess it's working like it should again but I have a dumb question. Does the low, medium, high make any difference with TS? Doesn't appear to.

Yeah, I keep meaning to mention this to Silicondust but I forget to do it. When the sub sends the command to unfilter the PIDs for the second program, the HDHomeRun software automatically allocates another tuner to it instead of simply unfiltering the program from the existing stream/tuner.

No. That is only for tuners with hardware MPEG encoders. Digital channels are straight dumps of the stream.

For those that had the crash with those previous patches, you could try installing this updated patch on top: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=37

Just to chime in, I am having a very similar problem with my latest setup: 1.3.11, HDHR with latest firmware, TS Mux, over-the-air ATSC rather than QAM as mentioned earlier in the thread. In my case the entire setup works perfectly with the exception of a single channel. I can view that channel correctly in PVRX2, with adequate strength, but recordings of that channel are often (but not always) zero-length. These 0-byte recordings have happened on both HDHR tuners, and I've also verified the channels' tuning strings for each tuner (identical). Mysteriously one recording on this channel did succeed earlier in the week, followed by 8-10 failures. Other than this channel, the HDHR seems to be great - I've recorded dozens of 1080i HD shows simultaneously, and they play back without errors. I haven't applied any of the post-1.3.11 patches yet. It could be signal strength, I guess, but I never have problems viewing the "trouble channel" interactively and this channel has been one of my stronger inputs in the past (no problems viewing and recording using a Hauppauge HVR-950 for several years).

I'm sure the patches in the survival guide will fix it. It did for others.
