settings.xml has a record that they are, but they do not show up in pvr

I could easily add recording support however I felt without seek/resume/comskip support it would have little value for remote viewing and using the browser would provide a much better experience.

The best solution for a remote experience would be to catch up on any old recordings and preload them onto the laptop.

Possibly later on we could also have timeshift with transcoding (doesn't hurt dreaming does it ?  )
But now that you've mentioned the recording copy, is there a way that we can specify an automation that after the recording will move a recording file to another disk and update the link in nextpvr?

Adding code is easy, testing it becomes a challenge, if navigation becomes available in Kodi I will certainly consider it. Automation is possible but I suggest opening a new thread to try and keep this one close to the topic.

Also I overlooked your previous comment on the bitrates and while I could offer a more limited choices like the web browser does, I feel that some users will want more or less than standards show.

As for the limitation, let me clarify that I don't mean to limit...I only mean if changing the resolution then suggest a default value that makes sense for that resolution..then let the user adjust between the minimum and maximum you already have...no limitation, just adding default values to the bitrate according to the resolution chosen.
I hope it makes more sense here...

Yes that makes sense now and but the Kodi settings API doesn't let me link those two settings like that.
