Back the locast extra.  If you don't mind during your test today could you uninstall the channels  (hit the trash can on the extra not delete the extra) with the latest update try

python locast.py install    again to see if the XMLTV guide data is better (install is 1 day load, there is another option xmltv that is used to get the week of guide data)

You should not nicer channel names with XMLTV.  After this you can auto map to Schedules Direct but you will get the ugly SD names.  There is an option after the upgrade to get the nice names back with the SD data.

python locast.py reset

I did as you asked, I set the EPG source to xmltv for the channels and got the user friendly names.  But when I updated the EPG, it went to the xmltv file got the names, but actually downloaded the EPG data from SD.

I am not sure if this was intended or not, but IMO, it is the perfect solution.

Yes thanks that is what was intended reset doesn't change the mapping. Those ugly OTA names from SD drive me crazy.

I'll have to check me FTV 4K I never have done memory management on it so I am curious now. Don't forget to delete sideloaded APKs

One thing I should note if you run install a second time it will display the saved username and password. If you want to accept the saved settings just hit enter. If they change you can run install again or simply change them in locast.ini

Well...It seemed to run OK thru the pip list -v command. Does the output look OK to continue?

No that will be user space c:\users\john\appdata\ so the Local System account won't find them.

So try again with gsudo? Or can I just move them somewhere? Can you suggest a folder?

Maybe the path will make it work you have python installed for a user not in program files

c:\users\john\appdata\local\programs\python\python38\python.exe

Maybe in PreStartup.bat add

python -V
pip list -v

and see if the server sees them.

The issue seems to be when choosing to install python there is an option to install for all users.  I guess you guys select no.  NextPVR runs as a different user so it won't have access to python.

python -V returned Python 3.8.5 and the pip list -v showed the the folder names unchanged.

Are we good for locast.py?
