re: the taskbar thing, it isn't just you dh. I've had it pop-up over npvr off and on too. I had it on auto-hide, but I could still see that little line at the bottom of the screen. It used to really bug me, until I just adjusted the screen size settings in the ATI control panel until the last couple rows of pixels are off the bottom of the screen. I have no idea if it still happens or not.

Yeah, I had to get creative to fix it. Apparently the task bar is just a window like any other as far as Windows knows, so I just make a call to find the window and throw it to the back every time the menu is repopulated. It works Smile

DH.

I am crashing with a windows error. Happened 2 times, first about an hour into a documentary, again 15 minutes later into playback of the same. Now its been going for 20 minutes. It didnt remember where it stopped so I had to ffwd to find where I left off at the first time, the second time it remembered a position but was not at the right spot. The video would freeze, audio would still run with the windows crash diag box on top, then the sound would stop maybe 10 seconds later. I will try to grab the report and upload it to see if anything jumps out at you.

My program doesn't handle any of the processing of the videos, Netflix runs everything through a browser with Silverlight. So it may be a device driver issue, or silverlight issue. Make sure you copy the error code next time, so we can figure it out for sure.

Ok, it is being like a car now... never does it when the mechanic is around.

I am pretty sure it was a coreclr.dll error (silverlite). I cant find the crash report in %appdata%... Any suggestions? Un/reinstall silverlite... keep running it to see if it happens more and keep track of it?

Hey dh,

Everything was running great, until I was asked to update the listings (it was more than four days old). Then everything came unraveled. When selecting a movie/tv show, nothing would happen. I was getting the messages to update the database, but, the database builder would start, then just shutdown without error, and updating from the view would just sit there and not do anything. I downloaded 2.7.5, started from scratch, and I still can't get it to update, it seems to error and now I can't get it to update the listings on Netflix. Below is the error:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Something tells me that they made a change to the Canadian website. I attached the logs in a zip file.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Marbles,

Yup, it looks like they may have finally gotten around to updating the canadian site. The other possibility is that your cookie got deleted. I need a couple of things:

1) Use internet explorer and go to http://www.netflix.ca and make sure you are still logged in. IE can delete your cookie occassionally, without you realizing it.
2) If you are still logged in, then visit the following sites and save the html files (use option "web page, HTML only" - otherwise it is of no use to me).

a) http://www.netflix.ca/WiGenre?vt=tg&sgid...tr=mhwG307
b) http://www.netflix.ca/WiMovie/Pingu-Meet...id=1537779
c) http://www.netflix.ca/WiMovie/Martha_Spe...id=2361637

3) Let me know if you have a queue yet.

Also, let me know if the web addresses start http://www.netflix or movies.netflix.

Thanks,

-DH

I would say keep going and see if it does it again. Sounds like you might really need that format/reinstall.

Alright, I will let you know if I run into this again. Maybe it was coincidence, but it did it a few times the last time netflix changed and was having problems with it (2.7.2. I think) but I dont know what the error was because I was blaming it on my error. I will run it more tonight.
