Hi,

I must be doing something wrong here, because the CDPlayer plugin doesn't seem to play CDs... It shows the list of files and when I press play it starts counting the seconds as if it were playing, but no sound comes out.
I've tried this with two CDs which windows media player does manage to play.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Chipi

did you download the version from the wiki? there is a thread in the announcements-forum addressed to version 0.6 of the plugin.

could you reproduce the error and post your gbpvr.exe.log-file? after changing logging level to "debug" in the config-app...

thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I did download the version from the wiki.
I'm attaching the log file, relevant stuff is at the end.

which language is that? do you see those strange characters? that's the only thing i can see...

could you try with a blank database and cddb turned off?
i'll add more logging to the play-methods....

The weird characters are supposed to be Hebrew, but it doesn't display them in the correct encoding.

I wasn't sure how to clean the database, so I canceled cddb and tried it with a different CD (in English this time). No change there - still no sound.

I'm still sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't see what it is (the volume is turned up Wink )

Hi,
sorry to report,
Tried cd-player for 1st time:
directly after slecteing cd-player from main nmenu got:
Error could not find file:
.....skin\Blue\Commion Dialogs\Prompt Box Skin.xml

C hecked directory:
- directory exists
- but is nindeed empty

cdplayer-installer or download version did not provide file.
-> so its empty, and i indeed did not install content.
makes sense, but where/when should i have installed something there????
or is cdplayer not intended to call some dialog anyway?

running gbpvr 94.13

Thanx already

the files you need come with video-archiver. i'm sorry, i forgot to include them in the download.

for a quick fix, download video-archiver. if you are using bluemce2-skin, the files will be there, no need to download video-archiver.

sorry!

Hey Dottore,

I was just playing with your CDPlayer 0.61 and it looks great Smile I ran into an issue tho... After the screensaver kicked in I moved the mouse to bring me back to the CDPlayer and the only song displayed in the list now is the song that is playing (which happens to be the last song). When it stopped playing it didn't start playing the first song but just stopped playing so I pressed ESC to go to the main menu and here is the error I received.

Hope this helps... and thanks again for a great plugin Smile
Oh and here is the log file...
