hmm, wmas have you got in you common directory AND in the musiclibrary2 directory a couple of wmplib.dll files? One will be axInterop and the other just Interop.

no wmplib.dll in any of the plugin directories.

Try copying this Interop.WMPLib.dll from gbpvr to musiclibrary2 directory.

I think it gets used from the gbpvr directory anyway for the plugin, but not sure about with MlUpdater.

I'm running outta ideas.

Hi Psycik,

To be able to test (and exclude other causes) I nuked my library and added just one path with one collection. In the config I ran a full scan.

Next I tried to run "mlupdater.exe -update" :

- first run gave an error, saying Interop.WMPLib.dll could not be found. so I copied this dll into the ML2 dir
- second run then completed succesfully
- then I added one additional mp3 track in the music path, and now mlupdater gave this error:
[HTML]Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'taglib-sharp, Version=2.0.2.10, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db62eba44689b5b0' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
File name: 'taglib-sharp, Version=2.0.2.10, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db62eba44689b5b0'
... etc

Ok, now I know you shouldn't get that error since I'm supposed handle that one. But looks like you've got further. I'm guessing that I couldn't create a track object as I use a references to the WMP library (sorry deleloper speak here) -

I might move the WMP one out to the same place as the taglib sharp and ultraid3 lib which should stop this problem of yours happening with someone else.

Actually I just looked at that error.txt, yoyu shouldn't be getting messages that detailed - as that looks like a debug version of the interfaces.dll. Can you check your common directory and musiclibrary2 directory and check that the interface.dll are the same versions?

I do not have the ultraid3 dll (only needed for pre .net2 versions said the wiki)
I did notice that in the error for taglib sharp, it says version 2.0.2.10, while I have 2.0.2.0 (only one available via the link on the wiki), but I don't know if that would cause the error.

That taglib version difference could cause an issue.

While the wiki said ultraid3 was only for pre .net2 - you're running on the latest that is out before the wiki has been updated, and yes you can use it as well (or instead of) taglib-sharp.
