[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]When the EPG is updated, and there is a recording on the drive and in the database, what happens to the descriptive info when that days data is cleared out of the EPG? How/where does it keep the info for the recorded show??
The database records (in PROGRAMME table) just arnt removed for shows that are still referenced.

Like a couple of other folks said, with this new release I am only able to get video using VMR9; before (02313) I was only able to get video using Overlay.

My system seems more crash prone now too, if I try to do anything else while I am using liveTV on GBPVR, I am risking sudden reboot.

Much smoother and appealing channel movement. This is a good thing.

AMD 1300 Athlon
Abit KG-7 Raid

PVR 350
ATI Radeon AIW 7200
Windows 2000

I'll give Overlay a good look over the next few days.

The best thing you can try to do, is identify which specific situations cause crashes and let me know so I can work through the issues (otherwise I dont get enough to go on, and the bug doesnt get fixed).

Hi Sub,

I have upgraded to the latest GBPVR version (.9). My system is as follows:
Pentium III 863 mhz, 512 mb ram, windows xp sp2, pvr-150, set-top cable box

I am having the following problems:
When I try to schedule a recording, or perform any recording in
general, I get the following message:

"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xc5c (3164), Thread id=0xcb8 (3256).
Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application."

If I attempt to pause live tv, the program seems to switch channels in
the card's tuner, which means I have no video (static).
(it does switch the set-top box to the appropriate
channel).
The remote control (45 button haupauge) is not as responsive as it was
in the previous version (.23). e.g., the record button does not work.

On the other hand, the ir blaster plugin works perfectly. Which leads
me to ask, is it possible to make version .23.13 (which didn't have
any problems with the pvr-150, aside from the ir blaster) work with
the plugin on v .9 for the pvr-150 blaster.

Thank you for your time,

ivan

Can you reproduce the error, then send your logs to me at support at devnz.com?

The record button only works in timeshift mode.

Nope. v23.13 is gone - forget it existed...

Hey Sub!

The new version sounds fantastic! Initial probs to report here are simply bad playback; 80% of the time the playback is jerky and unwatchable. Also, when using the "Best Colours" mode (which, might I add, is brilliant!Wink even so much as moving down on the menu takes a few seconds instead of instant. I've noticed that with it enabled, CPU usage hits 100% every time I press 'up' or 'down', or even alt-tab away from GB-PVR! Without "Best Colour" enabled, it reaches 5% tops for any of these actions. Haven't got much further yet and need to go to bed it's 5:30am!

My spec is:

AMD Athlon XP 2400
512MB DDR RAM
Windows XP
X-Card
Hauppauge PVR-350
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo
nVidia 128MB FX5200
USR Wireless 125Mbps PCI Card

Hope this helps!

I have sent the logs to you. The error occurs when I try to start a recording from the tvguide (when I hit record).

Also, when trying to record while in timeshift mode, it seems that the internal tuner selects another channel (other than channel 3) and only see and record snow.

Yes, best colors looks great with the XCard but requires much CPU so only would really be acceptable on the absolutely fastest CPUs. This isnt going to get any faster in later releases.

I've always had this functionality in GB-PVR, but its been disabled because it is so slow to produce an optomised palette for every frame. Looks great doesnt it, and its still only using 256 colors.

You'll have to just leave it disabled if its too slow on your machine.

Can someone that uses overlay please try the updated patch from http://www.gbpvr.com/NativeUtilities.zip to see if it corrects the problem?
