No digital encrypted tv. Did I delete a decoder???

Unfortunately no sign of obvious problems there.

If you start watching a channel, and leave it on that channel for a minute or so, then copy the live tv buffer file, then stop live tv, and play that copy in another player like vlc, does it show any decrypted video?

In NPVR I get a black screen. The buffer file 5405 kB and has a length of 0s. It doesn't play in WMP.

Do you know approximately how long that 5MB represents? Was it just a few seconds? ie, I'm trying to determine if the file was growing at a normal rate. 5MB is realistic for a few seconds, not for 10 or more seconds.

From what I can see, Acamd responds like it should this time. In the earlier logs there were only two DCW messages from Acamd. It does not explain why things does not work thou.

So acamd and newcs respond like they should, but the file isn't growing at a normal rate and I get a black screen and a length of 0s.
Would it be interesting to repeat the test with 2.3.6 to confirm that the problem started with that version in order to understand the problem better? Or what would you like me to do now Sub ?

You dont have the registry setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\npvr\BlockEncrypted=1 do you? (or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\npvr\BlockEncrypted=1 on 64 bit windows)

Ok..... Yes and setting it to 0 solves the problem on the pc and on the laptop (as client). I now remember that in 2.2.6 the registry key didn't function at all, so it didn't matter then. I 've made a note about this registry setting now, in case I have to put the older ghost image (with 2.2.6) back.

I can't remember the discussions back then, but I think watching a digital encrypted channel via the MVP on the tv was not possible or at least skipping was a problem. Correct? I only get distorted sound and a black screen on the MVP watching a digital encrypted channel now. I think that's why the blockencrypted had to be fixed???

That discussion ended where I suggested you set it to BlockEncrypted=0 to get it working. Somewhere along the way your machine got back to having BlockEncrypted=1.
