In TV guide the 7 Day, Now/Next, etc text disapears but the little grey arrow is still visible
In Recordings the same thing happens with Recurring,Ready, Pending, etc
Urrm, what little grey arrow? Any chance of a screen shot?
Quote:In TV Guide/Show details at the bottom of the screen, the Left aligned title and right aligned times overlap in the middle
Yes, there's a trick to prevent left and right aligned text boxes from overlapping but I can't find the code snippet.

Quote:In Landscape view...
when I swipe to change from Recurring to Ready, etc, the 'title' at the top left doesn't change.

The title top-left should be fixed and show 'Recordings' and shouldn't change until you go to TV Guide, Media etc.

For title top-left, read recording type (recurring, ready, etc) to right of top-left text "RECORDINGS"...

Screenshot of little grey arrow (head) where you normally see SEVEN DAY, NOW/NEXT, etc attached...

I had a horrible feeling that's what you meant about the little grey arrow. You shouldn't be seeing that. Currently in Fanny's Ale House with Timothy Taylor but will be home soon. Remind me again which tablet you have.

Cheers,
Brian

Currently in the kitchen with a few beers and about to watch the Confederation Cup final. It's a 7" MID.

Back home. Do you have an exact model number? Either that or actual physical screen dimensions (width and height rather than diagonal) and also X & Y pixels?

That drop-down list isn't created by me and all I can think is that the OS is compensating for screen width and actual dpi by changing what should be Tabs into a drop-down list. My code isn't expecting it which is why it doesn't behave properly. If anything I'd prefer to show the tabs and have TV Guide, Recordings, Media etc in a drop-down list as it makes more sense when swiping pages.

Cheers,
Brian

Here's a link to the spec...

Physical screen size is 15.2 x 8.8 mm (or 6" by 3" and 5/8)...

I've attached a screenshot of the landscape version of the same screen (with the drop-down opened)...

OK thanks. I can see this could be a long haul - the fonts and padding are a lot more chunky than I'd like for a 7 inch screen which means there's a lot of wasted space. Your channel logo is cut off and there's only six channels whereas I see eight and I see 5 items in the EPG list.

Also - your times show am/pm instead of a 24hr format, very strange. :p Big Grin

I'll look into the styles/themes a bit more to see if I can tidy it up.

EDIT: What size are the logo files you use (pixels X&Y and also dpi)?

Cheers,
Brian

On the Nexus 4 (screenshot).

Maybe less padding on the day names?

Cheers

It seems like Android makes a lot of mark-up decisions - it might be useful if you posted some screenshots of what you see...

At least it'll keep you out of the pub... Smile

I've checked a few and they all seem to be 132x99 at 96dpi

Thanks. I'll take a look at what I can do. It's annoying as my Desire running Android 2.2 spaces everything fine (even if the tabs are a bit chunky). I'm not setting anything specifically for the day tabs and it's Android that's deciding how things are laid out but it seems it's the size / style of font which might be causing it.

Cheers,
Brian
