Also note that this interface won't currently work with IPTV, I thought it was was a transcoding API but it is designed more for sub's own web browser client and it doesn't transcode IPTV.

Thanks to a Kodi dev there is now timeshifted transcoding. The timeshift file is actually buffered on the device which I didn't like at first but from a remote location it actually makes sense. How many minutes of buffer do you think you would use? I am trying to figure out a good slider interval.
