Music plugin support thread

The deal is that I add files to the playlist, but after the first song, it hands the music over to the pch.

Only mp3 files are currently supported internally, wma etc will be played by the PCH player. Please try and post PCH posts in the proper forum unless you want to mail MixMan and Bekken a couple of PCH's. I won't reply to anymore PCH questions in this thread.

the downloading and lookup/match of coverart uses the query "%artist% - %album%". If a file is tagged with "Title: A songname, Artist: Various Artist, Album: Trance Collection 14" the plugin will look for "Various Artist - Trance Collection 14.jpg" and if it doesn't exist it'll look for "Various Artist.jpg".

When building the "Album View" list; It is sorted in alphabetic order, Song - Artist - Album is sorted in Artist, then album, then track number.

To start I looked at the Musiclibrary 2/3 plugin and it just does not seems to work right!
Yours do what I need!!! Is there any way to dowload all the albums,artist cover arts and update the database manually or using a batch. Using autolyrix and dowloaded all the cover art/lyrics to files, but it writes the name of the mp3 and looks you are using other logic.

Let me ask this other way:

MusicScanner will search for Folder.jpg/Cover.jpg/SmallAlbumArt.jpg/jpgs containing “Front” in filename when creating 128x128/256x256 thumbnails for AlbumArt.

Will someone explain me how this works?

I tried with no success. Even put a "Front" on a couple of files and that didn't work.

Regarding the playlist play, will be helpfull if it is documented that in order to play all the songs on the list you need to play the first one and the plugin will play the rest. One thing that I noticed is that they are play sequentially. Is there any option to Shuffle?

I have similar problems. I have ripped my entire CD collection using Windows Meedia Player. In every folder containing an abum, Media player creates four files:
AlbumArt_{B9E7FC08-81DE-4E9C-8D4D-B4AAD9B4BE4C}_Large.jpg
AlbumArt_{B9E7FC08-81DE-4E9C-8D4D-B4AAD9B4BE4C}_Small.jpg
AlbumArtSmall.jpg
Folder.jpg
All these have attributes "System" and "hidden". Even if I change the attributes to not being hidden and system, and if I rename one of the files to front.jpg, the Music plugin doesn't use the album art.
However, it tries to find an album art on the internet, but most of the times it finds the wrong one.
How can I force the Music pluging to use the correct almum art I already have in the music folder?

For some albums I can see that the correct album art file is actually in the ./media/MusicArt/Album directory
In the ./media/MusicArt/artist directory I can see the one which is used when I play the album, but that album art it the wrong one, it doesn't match the album i am listening to.
