Windows FM Radio support in v5.

Yup HVR-950Q/955Q has FM. Also Digital TV Tuner for Xbox One has FM. I am using both on my win 11 computer. NextPVR v4 sees both to use FM.

That because it is a HVR-955Q that been just re-label and a diff hardware sub-id

So the HVR 950Q has FM too? I guess the fact that Hauppauge doesn't advertise FM on their product pages speaks volume about the commercial demand.

Yes apparently from what I was just told "While not the best FM radio receiver around, all of the WinTV-HVR tuners do support FM radio." I never know that I thought it required specific tuner but I guess that's not the case

I have a WinTV-HVR-950, I'm trying to get this to work but no luck. Running: ffmpeg -show_analog_tv_tuner_dialog true -f dshow -i video="WinTV HVR-980 Capture", brings up the tuner properties window but TV is the only thing listed under Tuning mode, no FM Radio.

I installed nextpvr v4 and in devices there is an analog tunner for the HVR-950. I added a couple of FM stations but when they play there is no sound. I also could not get video working for ATSC channels in In nextpvr v4. They work fine in v5. I think its something to do with decoders.

I too thought all HVR tuners supported FM. But Im not sure anymore.

Yes but too much guessing about your setup. Open a proper thread in the Kodi sub forumand give more details.

I just got this working with a wintv-hvr-955Q. But I'm getting no sound while the radio station plays. Is there something I should try? or should I upload logs? Thanks

EDIT: I attached logs. When I try to play FM station in app I just get please wait and it never plays. I am using Lav filters. The radio plays in v4. The web interface starts receiving data and shows the station is playing, but no sound.

Is VLC installed and did you change the batch file as suggested?
