That would explain it, sorry for the lack of guidance. Don't use the _canadian.ntf file, it is no longer needed. You just use the regular movieinfo.ntf file that was in the program. I will remove that file from future releases.

Also, please redownload the release from the sagetv site and try that version again, it may work as long as you use the regular .ntf file.

mrplow Wrote:your right, I didn't realize the dbupdate used so much bandwidth, had nexflix going in the other room, I'll post back with the results tomorrow

Using the API it now has to download the entire catalog, which is ~1GB in size, so the faster your internet connection the faster the database update. Of course this will speed up significantly once they drop DVD support from the API, I imagine the catalog size will drop to ~300MB.

To start the database update use: "Netflix TX Desktop.exe /update"
Keep in mind that this still will only run based on the nubmer of days you select in the ini file.

Also, please confirm that you used the 2.9.8.3 version, so I know which version works.

Thanks!

yes I used the 2.9.8.3 version. The stars didn't seem to update when I set update stars to true in the ini though. I'll run it again and watch what happens when it gets to the end of step 1 again.

Also try the 2.9.8.4 version in post 971 above (remember to replace the dll file as well).

Whoops, I found a problem with the dll file in the 2.9.8.4 version. Use this one please.

hmm something is pretty wrong, using that dll you just posted and the 2.9.8.4 exe I'm getting the full US listing, I only noticed because I was getting an error saying this title is not available at this time. On the movies that should be available in canada it just goes to a black screen and doesn't play. Also the stars never seemed to update.

Please check to make sure that you have Canadian=True in your ini file.
