I'll try again this week and will post logs

Here it is :

LCD Smartie Error message (= dialog box): "Load of plugin failed: LoadLibrary failed with #126: Module not found"

Error message display on LCD : "[Dll: Can not load plugin]"

I'm not sure gbpvr logs are needed... but i kept them just in case. I did not found the option to enable LCDSmartie debug log ...

any chance we could get the source? i couldn't find it anywhere and i noticed it's not on the wiki either...
might also want to mention on the first post that it's a real good idea to install MyVideos if people want to see program info instead of just filenames..Smile
[took me forever to figure that one out..lol]

very high cool factor from me..Big Grin loving it..wish there were live-tv info but not missing it too much...

tho would like to lock it into the actual gbpvr instance instead of latching onto the mvp [or maybe a selectable option?] and showing it's info..
[it seems to latch onto first gbpvr running, and if you auto-start the mvp server it locks onto that]
and yea,i second that i'd like to not see so many dates scrolling by..tried minimalizing the short date format but it didn't help much..
i paid a total of $11.89 for a used 2x24 with EL backlight that matches my original vcr one's color exactly..Smile [the other parts i had hanging around]
definitely the cheapest/coolest mod i've done yet! Big Grin

it even shows info for files i don't have the info on osd for! that's way cool too..[by-product of the myvideos routines i'm sure] even from video library..
and old stuff i'd lost the info for..too cool...

oh,and i've seen those postage stampcolor lcd's and they have either a graphics vga controller or a specialized graphics codeset like the orbital graphics displays...require a different program than smartie...you could make a smartie plugin for it tho...or if you find a controller program out there allready..only software they give is to load pics..it's a program-it-yourselfer...
pic1 - [still a work in progress, dvd will pop out of the door when eject on left is pushed..!]

It seems to be something to do with LCDSmartie not finding a DLL it needs. Have you made sure that the DLL for LCDSmartie is installed in the correct place? Maybe try installing LCDSmartie again? If everything is installed correctly, then I'm sorry to say I'm out of ideas.

For now I'm keeping it closed source, for various reasons. If/when I reach a stage where I can no longer update it, then I will seriously consider making the full source code available. That said, I am happy to provide information/code showing how I accomplished various things, or even information to allow people to query the GB-PVR LCD plug-in themselves with their own program.

Hehe, yes, I realised after I upgraded to 96.08 and mentioned this in one of the preceding pages. I updated the first post to reflect this now.

Cheers, glad to see you're enjoying it. Smile

This is out of my control. GB-PVR provides the information for the plug-in to use.

The next version should allow greater customisation of the display.

Yes, from the pics, it does look effective.

I am happy to provide some pointers for anyone who wants to write a plug-in for one of these other programs. The easiest/quickest way would be to simply write a client that queries the GBPVR LCD plug-in that I have developed.

I guess it is correctly installed ... so far only removing .NET 2.0 makes things working all fine ! I do not even need to restart my computer
I'm using version 5.3.2 beta and updated DNBridge.dll you provided few times ago.

Is there a way to better trace what happens ?

Has anyone tried the plug-in with the new version of GB-PVR (0.97)? Does it work? Does it need a recompile? If so, I'll try to get around to it on the weekend and post a new one up.
