skins and custom tasks

I'm trying to create a new skin, but I seem to have hit a problem. If you have plugins or custom tasks (say the very useful diskspace plugin) then on the main menu they just show up as the blue skin. How do I point to the button images I want. Is this something set in the skin.xml file ? if so could someone spare a few minutes to explain the structure with regard to button images and custom tasks.
If I am on totally the wrong track, please let me know.

Sub will be fixing that for the next release. Currently any plugin buttons will look like the default blue skin button.

I have found a way to make them almost look right. If you replace the the two png files in the custom subfolder with blank button backgrounds they will be used as the base - well, almost they seem to be cropped to the width of the original blue skin buttons. The only problem is the text. Is there a way to center and change the default text color ? That would do to make them look good enough for now.

Yes-I created the MCE like skin and have the plugins skinned too. Just waiting for the next release so I can post it all.

You guys saw that weather now uses a xml file, right?

Yes-and thanks. I have much more flexability with the buttons and locations. Once sub releases his next version that will fix our issues on the main screen I'll upload the MCE like skin with updates to the weather, shutdown and pictures plugins.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish mine and perhaps add that to the gallery. The more the merrier !
Anyone know if Sub's new release will allow changes to default text colour (such as the description text on the main page) and also does anyone know the full range of named colours, such as those used in the Tv guide xml file. Don't know about you but I think magenta is a very bold colour choice and perhaps not for me.
