The Dragon Global forums provide some explanation as to the changes in Dirmon2, I'm looking to get this set up myself so I'll shed some light on them if I figure it out...
http://www.dragonglobal.org/forums/showthread.php?t=312 Update: I've used the settings as shown below and mencoder seems to be running just dandy: ![]() And below is how I set up my global settings (I figure total resources available meant processing power, and since I need a little bit of resources to record, I figured why not set it at 80%) ![]() Lastly we can see the file being processed (yes, I record this show, its nostalgic ;-) ![]() Hopefully someone can confirm if I've done this right or not, and if not, I'll see what if anything this process spits out and let y'all know. Update: I can confirm that these settings work. Be sure and do file-save when you enter in your data or it will not keep the settings even if you're just switching tabs. To get it started, on global settings, click install, and then click start to begin the watching service, which, if you've set it up right, will begin to detect and encode your recorded shows.

Is there any way that someone can add the latest and greatest version of this guide to the wiki? With 180+ posts over 19 pages, it is pretty intimidating to jump in.

Script Update Version 0.0.10
What's new: -The Script is completly reorganized, mainly thanks to unixdude -Comskip is an option that can be turned on and off like any other option -Twopass logic has been added.(Thanks to unixdude) Currently it analyzes the file size and creates an xvid file that is 1/9th as large. The tivo profile is temporarily on hold until I work out some a/v synch issues. I'll provide an incremental update when that happens. Because this script is reorganized, I would suggest that you run it in test mode first to verify you're getting what you want. I've tested it but not every permutation. Update: I re-uploaded the scipt because the previous version had debug mode turned on by default.

I seem to be having a problem with some avi's that are currupt after they are finished. I think it's ones that are over 1 gig for some reason, has anyone else ran into this? I'm using the "Standard" profile to encode and 0.92 version of the script. Thanks

Try opening the file in Gspot to see if it can identify the avi. |
